Before you can start Cadence, there are a few configuration files that are needed in your home directory. These files determine the environment in which Cadence runs, what libraries are to be included in your current session. No doubt these files can be edited to suit personal preferences. The setup given below is tailored for machines in the COE workstation cluster, and is given for NCSU kit:
      Type "linux-load" Then,
you can see which machines are less busy Login
the machine (type "ssh -p 27
XXXX.coe.neu.edu" or XXXXX) XXXX
is the name of the machine Download cadence.sh
and activate it ( source cadence.sh ).
(You can
check a few files in your working directory after the Step 4) The
"cadence.sh" have to be activated whenever logging in your account.
* If you change the file name of "cadence.sh" to ".cshrc", you do not need to activate it all that time. However, in this case, you may be in trouble when you try to run other program such as matlab.
Type virtuoso & Be careful! Cadence has to be run under your working directory. |
