Project: Health Monitoring and Life Estimation of Metal Oxide Varistors
Description: Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs) are widely used to protect against surges and overvoltage transients in power systems and electric appliances. They degrade over time when they discharge large surge currents. Monitoring the health and estimating the remaining lifetime of the MOVs are of critical importance to system protection and reliability.
