About Me:

I received my BS in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Engineering Minor and Energy Technologies Concentration at Boston University.

Research Interests:

AC and DC Arc Fault Detection Algorithms, Arc Fault Detection in PV Systems, Differential Power Processing, Control techniques for power electronics applications, power converter embedded solar PV systems

Ongoing Projects:

Project: AC Arc Fault Generation and Detection using ONLY Voltage sensing.
Description: There are devices monitoring the state of an electrical system that sometimes do not include current sensing capabilities (i.e. Surge Protectivve Devices: SPD's). Therefore, a novel algorithm based on only the input grid voltage waveform is being developed in order to detect AC Arcs Faults.

Project: Arc Fault Detection in PV Systems
Description: PV Systems currently still have many blind spots for Arc Fault Detection. New algorithms based on either ONLY Voltage or ONLY Current waveforms are being developed for increased reliability as well as compatibility with existing products on the market.

Previous Projects:

Project: Photovoltaic (PV) Blanket
Description: The goal of this project is to establish communication between PV cells within a PV array and enable individual cells to function at a specific power output. This will allow PV arrays to possess self-healing and self-optimizing capabilities and be utilized in non-ideal solar environments.
