Josep Jornet Awarded Best Paper at the IEEE WoWMoM 6G Non-terrestrial Networks (NTN) Workshop
ECE Associate Professor Josep Jornet received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE WoWMoM 6G Non-terrestrial Networks (NTN) Workshop, for the work titled “Performance Analysis of a Dual Terahertz/Ka Band Communication System for Satellite Mega-Constellations”, led by his students Ali Al Qaraghuli, PhD’24, and Hussam Abdellatif, PhD’24. The paper aims to address the improvement of space-based internet through introducing terahertz links as an enhancing technology for uplink, downlink, and crosslink. The paper lays the foundation for more work related to space applications, as space-communication continues to grow as a research topic of importance to the UN Lab.
