2019 Projects

Machine Learning, Data Mining and Analytics

Participating Faculty

Prerequisite Background: Completed at least 1 semester of Calculus. Experience with Matlab is a plus.

Learning Objectives: Learn how to use an analytics tools to produce clustering or correlation analysis using different data sets.



Parallel Hardware and Software Systems

Participating Faculty

Prerequisite Background: Experience with any high-level programming language.

Learning Objectives: Learn basic data analytics tools or write parallel implementations of analytics algorithms, developing an appreciation of the benefits of parallelization to overcome the computational barriers of big data analytics.



Biomedical, Bioengineering, and Neuroscience Applications

Participating Faculty

Prerequisite Background: High school Biology and/or Physics, Calculus 1 and experience with some programming language.

Learning Objectives: Students will learn how science, math and computing can work together to address important societal problems.
