Mission

Undergraduate

The primary educational mission of the electrical and computer engineering department are to educate undergraduate students so they have the opportunity to obtain successful careers in electrical and computer engineering and related disciplines, and pursue advanced study such as graduate study in engineering or related disciplines, and to educate graduate students so they can make meaningful contributions to research and industry.

Graduate

The primary educational mission of the graduate program at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is to equip students with the necessary analytical and technical knowledge, tools, and skills to address engineering problems of advanced nature in various specialties of electrical and computer engineering. By taking advanced level courses, completing projects, thesis, and dissertations, they will be able to, analyze problems and formulate and design appropriate solutions in their specific specialization and concentration and will will possess the skills to evaluate these solutions. These skills shall make them capable of using analytical, numerical, and experimental techniques to do independent research by formulating advanced novel problems and conducting research to address these problems.
