PlusOne with MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering
PlusOne with MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Overview
PlusOne accelerated master’s degrees allow students to accelerate the attainment of the master’s degree by applying graduate credits taken as an undergraduate toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees. Current undergraduate students apply to enroll in the PlusOne program.
With the PlusOne program, students attain their bachelor’s degree followed by a PlusOne year to complete the master’s degree.
Benefits
- Accelerate learning – get your master’s in one year vs. typically two
- Reduce costs – apply some courses toward both your undergrad and master’s degrees, and get the MS for PlusOne tuition scholarship
- Gain a competitive edge – stand out with an advanced degree
Below are the eligible undergraduate majors available to pursue a PlusOne pathway with a master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Also, review the Curriculum Guides and the Accelerated Master’s links for further details, including program policies and procedures, as well as how to Apply.

Graduate Course Sharing
Students currently pursuing their Bachelor’s degree should refer to their undergraduate program’s guidelines on how the graduate courses can be shared with their undergraduate degree. College of Engineering undergraduate students should refer to their Plan of Study page.
Students can choose four courses from the list of Concentration courses as listed in the academic catalog. Please note, Fundamental courses are considered a subset of Concentration courses, so students can select from that list as well. Students may also select from the breadth course list as long as they do not exceed two courses. CCSP concentration students cannot exceed (8 SH) of non-ECE courses. Please note that EECE 5698 Special Topics in Computer and Electrical Engineering, EECE 7398 Advanced Special Topics in Computer and Electrical Engineering, and EECE 6400 Special Problems in Electrical and Computer Engineering courses are not eligible for credit sharing and must be taken at the graduate level only. Students are responsible for reviewing the academic catalog and adhering to all program requirements to obtain their MS degree. Any questions or concerns, please reach out to coe-ece-gradadvising@northeastern.edu.
