Ratilal Awarded $1M NSF Grant
Purnima Ratilal, associate professor of ECE, has received a $1M NSF grant to develop a Lightweight Towed Area Receiver (LTAR) to remotely monitor and image large areas of the ocean environment.
Professor Ratilal received her Ph.D. in Acoustics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2002. Before that, she received her BS in Physics from the National University of Singapore in 1994. Her research focuses on acoustics, communications/signal processing, modeling & simulation, networks, and sensor networking.
