Freshmen Engineering Students will publish and present at the ASEE-NE2018 Conference
Four freshmen engineering student papers, under the supervision of Teaching Professor Bala Maheswaran, have been accepted for publication and presentation at the American Society of Engineering Education – Northeast conference on April 27-28, 2018 at the University of Hartford, Connecticut.

ECE Students Win Best Poster at 2018 RISE Expo

Four COE Students Awarded Goldwater Scholarships
Minhal Ahmed, BioE’19, Kritika Singh, BioE’20, Elizabeth Wig, EE’20, and Isaac Kresse, S/CompE’19, were awarded the 2018 Barry Goldwater Scholarship, the United States’ premier award for outstanding young researchers in STEM fields.

ECE PhD Student Wins 2017 Chinese Government Award
PhD Student Allan Ding was awarded a 2017 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad. This award is given to high-achieving, self-financed Chinese students studying internationally. It is granted across all fields of study to only 500 PhD students worldwide. Robotics Showcase
A variety of robots, such as a prosthetic hand, drones, mobile robots, and an autonomous car and kayak from ECE Associate Professor Taskin Padir’s RIVeR Lab and ECE/MIE Professor Hanumant Singh’s robotics research center were on display at the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex as part of National Engineers Week.
