ECE PhD Student Wins 2021 VNN-COMP Award
Kaidi Xu, PhD’21, computer engineering, from Assistant Professor Xue “Shelley” Lin’s lab, got the Top Highest Score Award and Category Winner during the 2nd International Verification of Neural Networks Competition (VNN-COMP’21) at the 33rd International Conference on Computer-Aided Verification. The work was done in collaboration with researchers from CMU, Columbia University, and UCLA.

ECE PhD Student Wins Best Student Paper Award at EFTF-IFCS 2021
ECE student Hussein M. E. Hussein, PhD’24, was awarded the 2021 Joint Conference of European Frequency and Time Forum & the IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium (EFTF-IFCS) Best Student Paper Award for Paper “Parametric Acoustic-Based Passive Transponders for Ultra-Sensitive Temperature and Temperature-Threshold Sensing.”

ECE Associate Professor Josep Jornet received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE WoWMoM 6G Non-terrestrial Networks (NTN) Workshop, for the work titled “Performance Analysis of a Dual Terahertz/Ka Band Communication System for Satellite Mega-Constellations”, led by his students Ali Al Qaraghuli, PhD’24, and Hussam Abdellatif, PhD’24.

Northeastern Team Selected as a Finalist in the 2021 RASC-AL Competition
